The length of time
This piece is delicately constructed with tiny semi precious multicolored stones finished with a shell pendant. It is intended to be worn as one pleases, but is featured here as worn with the pendant on the back. The chain is adjustable to each individuals needs.
The shape of shells changes as we shift our attention to the contrast of the sand and waves that moves them in and from the ocean. The size variability is as unique as the stars that align our galaxy and the memories we have in our hearts. Home to an array of different sea-creatures, the shell, although tough on the exterior, often provides a sacred space for those who need shelter from the storm. Each one of us has, in a way, a shell that encompasses our body and souls, some have built it out of fear of judgement, others were assigned one at birth by their culture and family values. Breaking the shell is not only a duty each of us must carry out but a necessity in order to pick the bits and pieces back up that compose the puzzle into a full life that you choose. Those tiny movements of patience are what generate a home worth living in.
